Miltä kuulostaa Peppi Pitkätossun letut tai Muumimamman pannukakut? Ihanan lapsenmieliseltä ainakin. Jokaisella meillä lienee lapsuudesta jokin lettumuisto. Minun muistoni liittyy mummin lettuihin ja hilloon. Menin pienenä yökylään mummini luokse Munkkiniemeen ja niinpä sitten paistettiin lettuja. Olen aina pitänyt hilloista ja taisipa mummilla tuolloin olla itsetehtyä mansikkahilloa tarjolla. Pikkuneiti mätti ihanan vastustamatonta hilloa letuille oikein urakalla. Mummi ei raaskinut innokasta neitiä toppuutella ja niinpä sitten olin kertakaikkisen huonovointinen sen yökyläreissun ajan. Meni tovi ennenkuin minulle letut taas maistuivat. Mitä taas hilloihin tulee, olen varsinainen hillohiiri edelleenkin. Joka on hillokellariini kurkistanut, tietää kyllä.
Rahkaletut
noin 15 kpl
1 prk (250 g) maitorahkaa
4 kananmunaa
½ dl sokeria
1 tl vaniljasokeria
ripaus suolaa
1 dl vehnäjauhoja
paistamiseen voita tai margariinia
Sekoita kaikki ainekset tasaiseksi taikinaksi.
Pane ohukaispannun syvennyksiin nokare rasvaa.
Kuumenna pannua kunnes rasva kuohuu ja hieman ruskistuu. Pienennä levyn tehoa ja annostele kuhunkin syvennykseen noin ½ dl taikinaa.
Paista miedolla lämmöllä molemmin puolin kullanruskeiksi.
Tuoremarjahillo
1 dl vadelmahilloa
1 dl pakastevadelmia
1 dl pakastemustikoita
Sekoita hieman sulaneet marjat hillon joukkoon ja tarjoa rahkalettujen kanssa.
Kliivia lähes kokonaan auenneena.
